Investigating corporate Australia’s position on sustainability and energy efficiency and presenting a unique perspective of the move from intention to outcomes on the net zero agenda.
Schneider Electric’s ‘Sustainability Index, 2024’, in its fourth year, has found that Australian businesses are calling for more incentives and stronger action on net zero. Corporate Australia is embracing sustainability, but struggling to act, even though most companies see climate change as a major operational risk and support Australia’s transition to net zero. Research conducted on behalf of Schneider Electric polled more than 500 decision-makers and the findings reveal that 70% of respondents agree that sustainable transformation provides a competitive edge. Additionally, 44% of respondents are expecting to achieve 100% renewable electricity by 2030.
