An Industry-Led Initiative to Harden Your Critical Infrastructure
Communities and organizations across the country face a perfect storm: aging infrastructure, rising energy costs, growing energy demand, and more frequent and powerful extreme weather events. At the same time, federal clean energy tax credits are set to expire and market volatility is driving up the cost of materials and energy—which will make resilient clean energy projects like microgrids much more challenging to deploy.
The Accelerating Resilient Infrastructure initiative can help you harden critical infrastructure with no upfront capital. Delay could mean your resilience projects cost 30% or more starting in 2028.
Resilient Energy at Speed and Scale
The initiative’s ecosystem of industry leaders has the expertise and funding to help organizations accelerate the deployment of microgrids and clean energy infrastructure at unprecedented speed and scale. Its capital and project developers can invest more than $8B in clean energy funding to eliminate the need for customers to use their limited capital. Using an EaaS model, ecosystem developers design, build, finance, own, operate, maintain and refresh the energy infrastructure over the life of the agreement, minimizing customers’ financial and operational risk. Customers who prefer to use their own capital or different funding sources like an Energy Savings Performance Contract can also benefit from the industry ecosystem to optimize incentives and move even faster.
Initiative Benefits
Lock in your electricity prices to reduce exposure to skyrocketing utility rates.
Maintain delivery of essential services during prolonged power outages
Reduce financial and operational risk and eliminate the need for capital expenditure
How it Works
Tell us about your resilience plans, and we’ll connect you with an expert.
We match you with pre-qualified ecosystem developer(s) to assess project viability.
If mutually viable, you implement an expedited procurement process. Public customers may also use our compliant, competitively awarded government cooperative purchasing contract.
After award, you enter a long-term EaaS agreement with the developer and redirect monthly fees paid to the utility to the project developer. You can also use your own capital budget.
The system is placed in service on an expedited timeline to take advantage of clean energy tax credits, and then operated and maintained by the developer for the life of the contract.
Your operations become more resilient, and your energy spend becomes more predictable.
