Green Impact Gap 2025: Sustaining Regional Progress
Schneider Electric’s third annual Green Impact Gap survey reveals how business leaders across Asia are navigating sustainability. While nearly 60% rate it as a high priority, countries like Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia outperform the regional average, reflecting diverse national contexts.

The “Green Impact Gap” — the disconnect between sustainability goals and action — remains at 48% in 2025, with national gaps ranging from 41% to 57%. Only Vietnam, South Korea, and Taiwan show consistent year-on-year improvement.

Despite economic uncertainty and internal resource constraints, momentum continues. Over one-third of companies plan to invest at least USD 1 million in sustainability within two years, focusing on digitalisation and supply chain improvements.

Notably, 48% now have comprehensive sustainability strategies. These “Impact Makers” lead the way, viewing sustainability as a driver of growth, efficiency, and transformation.
